The Polish Council for Supplements and Nutritional Foods presents to you the agenda for "April week in Poland" which is going to be rich in events associated with food supplements industry.

On the 20th and 21^st of April we will have the honor of being the host of the EHPM (The European Federation of Associations of Health Product Manufacturers) Annual Meeting, which will be held in Grand Hotel in Cracow.
The Annual Meetings of the Presidents of the European Federation of Associations of Health Product Manufacturers (EHPM) are organized to summarize the past year and to set new objectives and policies for the future. The reports are also given on the current legislative activities carried out by EHPM experts, working close to the European Commission.

The next major event is the Annual General Assembly of Members of the KRSiO (Polish Council for Supplements and Nutritional Food) and a press conference scheduled for 22^nd of April, in Warsaw.

The majority of Poles do not know how to answer questions such as: are food supplements important and needed? How do I take them? Which to choose? Many misunderstandings is also present amongst the journalists writing on the issues of health, beauty and lifestyle. For them, we organized a press conference to be held on the 22nd of April in The Foksal Villa in Warsaw. The speakers will include specialists such as Professor Iwona Wawer from the Department of Physical Chemistry, Warsaw's Medical Academy and Katarzyna Łastawska.

The following issues will be discussed:
- Personal supplementation
- The role of supplements in the fight against obesity
- Supplements and beauty (Inside beauty)
- Supplements for the information society
- Maximum and minimum levels of vitamins and minerals

We will also present results from a study conducted by ZETEMA company on the knowledge of food supplements amongst internet users in Poland.

The final event will take place on the 23^rd and 24^th of April in Warsaw, and is going to be an international conference on food supplements:

organized by the Pro-Salutem Association, and KRSiO, as a partner.

The conference is addressed to all participants of food supplement market and legislative body, in particular to the officials from the State Sanitary Inspectorate and the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products; to persons coming from the management, research and law, representing leading manufacturers, distributors and importers on the Polish market and abroad.

The conference will be accompanied by other events including - The Conference of Polish experts in EFSA and The II International Exhibition of Food Supplements.
